Musical Advent: December 23 Hark! A Thrilling Voice Is Sounding!

Hark! A Thrilling Voice Is Sounding!

Yes, the thrilling sound beckons my weary body cumbered by loads I was never intended to bear.

Self-imposed expectations illustrated by the world in the most convincing forms….Tonight the weight of those burdens has lifted…mostly because I finally made time to complete a few tasks placed on my heart months ago…and because I realized Christmas was going to come and go in the exact same manner it did the night Jesus was born….with out my help!   With out my gifts..without my to do lists….And the single truth remains…Christ wants my heart….I can have a messy house, no gifts, no fancy food, no music….that one hurts….but really no music and still He loves me..wants. me. forgives. me.

The same is true for you….Merry Christmas!

Musical Advent: December 22 O Savior, Rend the Heavens Wide

Angles sharing a Message from God “I LOVE YOU!”

As a mother of young girls…as a woman…as a human…my hearts softens when I hear children using their lovely voices for good.   There are no words with this video…so I will provide them..enjoy.  Merry Christmas!

O Savior, rend the heavens wide; come down, come down with mighty stride; Unlock the gates, the doors break down; Unbar the way to heaven’s crown.

O Morning Star, O radiant Sun, When will our hearts behold your dawn? O Sun, arise with-put your light We grope in gloom and dark of night.

Sin’s dreadful doom upon us lies; Grim death looms fierce before our eyes. Oh, come, lead us with mighty hand from exile to our promised land.

There shall we all our praises bring ever to you, our Savior King; There shall we laud you and adore  Forever and forever more.

Musical Advent: December 17 Hark! The Herald Angels Sing

Christmas preparations continue..

I reached for this wreath on my tiptoes…managed to knock it loose and caught it on my head….perfect for a silly photo with the girls p.s Boss Man’s photography is coming along nicely!

To day, my girls and I watched a story about Nester the Donkey and yesterday about the The First Christmas Snow.  I had never watched these cartoons…What a pleasant surprise Christmas shows on TV that are about the birth  of Jesus Christ!  My girls enjoyed them and I encourage you to take a peak and consider sharing them with your loved ones this year.
