Today the silage cutters finished chopping the last irrigated field for the season.
The drought has taken it’s toll on our dryland…all of it was cut for silage to feed to the cattle we keep buying form the local sale barns…that are filling up with cattle from the dry pastures…This year we cut a few irrigated fields due to irrigation problems…a crashed tower caused this last field to bake in the 100 plus temps at a critical stage…the crop insurance adjusters were out last week…they agreed with what Boss man thought….Yield losses.
While the silage was being packed we celebrated our ninth anniversary by working a load of cattle before enrolling Pippi in an art class at the local Christian School for the school year.
I want to watch the Olympic gymnastics..so I will just fill in all the pics at once!
